Where is a girl without her mirror? I can't begin to even start to count the many times I personally look in a mirror to fix my hair. Constantly in a girl's mind we think that we are fat, ugly, and stupid. Well I have news for you girls...We are our own worst enemy. Individually we can be the worst critic to ourselves. I'm guilty of being a terrible critic and my wonderful boyfriend sits and listens to me complain how terrible I look and how fat I am. He denies it and I don't listen because I am incredibly wrapped up in my own opinion of myself. I'm someone who always worried what everyone thought of me and how I look. Every girl wants to look perfect and wear a certain jean size. Basically everything comes down to this: No one is perfect. In Heaven there will be no mirrors or makeup, no short skirts or shirts that show too much skin. Girls I'm just going to flat out tell you the truth, ALL of you are beautiful! God made us in HIS image and God NEVER makes a mistake.(Genesis 1:27)
Why would we cover up something soo beautiful? Of course girls can say they are "enhancing" their features. But truly we all want the attention. We long to be loved and to be seen. Even they shyest of the shy wants to be seen and loved. Girls wonder why men think dirty thoughts and go after girls in lustful ways. It's because we give them a reason to. Would we tempt a brother to think lustful thoughts? Yes I agree lustful thoughts always creep in everyone's mind but God always leaves a window open to escape from temptation. Girls I know we want the attention, but as a Christian don't go for the wrong attention. I challenge all of you just to be yourself. Not someone who everyone else thinks is cool or someone who has to act a certain way to have friends. Be yourself and love as God has loved you. We will always be a terrible critic and appearance will always be everything. But do a favor please and wear some clothes. Be modest and treat the body God gave you with respect and as a temple.
